What is RSS

This link is a simple explanation of RSS – Real Simple Syndication.  It explains the purpose and well as the mechanics of how to use RSS.  It is useful for students as it saves valuable classroom time searching for new information.  It also serves as a means to control information by setting it up to link with only sites that are valuable.  RSS is a great way for students to keep up with current events and stimulates thinking and response for discussion questions.  Caution:  google/reader is no longer in service.  There are many other readers still available, however.  Feedly looks like one free alternative.
